I read Andrea's blog. And I wanted to blog too.
I love Pride and Prejudice too! Have always loved the classics. Like Great Expectations and Sense and Sensibility :)
The show was wonderful. I caught it yesterday with Andrea and Colin.
With music, and dancing and laughter. Life's so simple for them, just learn how to cook and sew and bake and if you're fortunate enough, learn to play the piano. Andrea loves it. I like the dancing part too.

Though it would have be marvellous to enjoy the scenery, the cottages and the dances in those times, I think that I would get a little bored. Life for the women there is simply to be a good homemaker or they set their aims on simply getting a rich husband. I think it's a little belittling to women and their role in society. Didn't really like the way the father treated his 2 younger daughters - he wanted to marry them off simply because they were an embarassment. However, I must admit I do recognise his affection for Elizabeth. Rather endearing. And perhaps he's a good father after all (in a certain sense) just a little bias.

In a certain way, I see the importance of a good up-bringing and am thankful for my own :)
I like the exchange of wits especially across Elizabeth and Mr Darcy. Fascinating and intriguing!

It's a worthwhile movie to catch :)

That was yesterday.

I went jogging early in the morning by myself today. Managed to complete the usual route, though at a slower pace since I wasn't running with Hannah. She's on a mission trip. It's good to have a song in your heart when you run. You thank God for the wonderful creation that surrounds :)

I too am closing a chapter in my life. It's a little messy but complete :) It's a good closure. And I'm glad :)

Watching another movie later and having dinner with 2 of my gorgeous friends :)
